No fewer than 6 bandits were killed by angry residents in Sanga and Lere Local Government Area (LGAs) of Kaduna State.
Two of the bandits killed had attacked a businessman and carted away all his valuables at Fadan Karshi in Sanga LGA.
The state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan disclosed that the incident occurred on Christmas Eve.
According to him,as soon as the information of the attack was received, the military and Policemen mobilised to the location.
On reaching the scene, the security agents discovered that some angry villagers had already attacked the bandits and burnt them to ashes.
Aruwan disclosed that in another location in the same LGA, some bandits shot motorists plyiing the Aboro- Kafanchan . In the process bullet hit ,one Richard Sabo who knocked down one of the bandits to death while struggling to control the vehicle.
He said Sabo was later rushed to the General Hospital in Gwantu where he was confirmed dead.
The Commissioner also revealed a similar incident where a commercial motorcylist,one Hudu Yahaya waa killed.
Yahaya who hailed from Ungwan Nungu village of Sanga LGA was beheaded by the bandits who escaped with his motorcycle.
