The Bishop of Okrika Diocese of the Anglican Communion , Rt Rev. Enoch Atuboyedia has stressed the need for peace in Okrika Land saying Peace bolsters growth and development amongst any people, and the Okrika nation cannot be an exception” .
Bishop Atuboyedia who stated this in a sermon at a special service and prayers at the Palace of the Amanyanabo of Ogoloma, King Emmanuel Obudibo, Ikwo the 5th explained that the peace of God is a requirement for the growth of any kingdom.
Responding, King Obudibo thanked the Bishop for his visit and pledged the kingdom’s support for the growth of the church.
In the same vein, Bishop Atuboyedia rounded-off his special visit to the palaces of Kirike bese kings at the palace of the Amanyanabo of Kirike kingdom, King Tamuno-Ominisiki Ogube with a call on all traditional rulers to revive their belief in God.
He urged sons and daughters of Okrika to imbibe Christian virtues that will attract praises to God.
On his part, King Ogube expressed his gratitude to the Bishop for his initiative which according to him will strengthen the bond between the church and the Kirike kingdom.
Appreciating the Bishop’s visit, the monarch donated the sum of One Million Naira for the electrification of St. Peter’s Cathedral and an additional Two hundred and fifty thousand naira on behalf of the council of Chiefs.
The Amayanabo of Koko kingdom, King Frank Hezekiah Koko also attended the occasion, as well as other highly eminent sons and daughters of Kirike bese, from all works of life.
