Okoi Obono-Obla, former Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Prosecution was on Friday, arraigned along with two others before a Federal High Court in Apo,Abuja on 10 count charge bordering on alleged forgery and fraud .
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission ( ICPC) had arrested and charged Obono-Obla who was Chairman of the disbanded Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the recovery of Public Property (SPIP), for certificate forgery while the others, the Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties to the Panel,Aliyu Ibrahim, and Daniel Omughele, Managing Director of ABR Global Petroleum Resources Ltd.werre charged with illegal diversion of funds meant
for the furnishing of the SPIP office.
They however pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
Justice Olukayode Adeniyi, thereafter, granted each of them bail at N1million with a surety,who must not be below the rank of a Director in the Federal Civil Service or the FCT .
He then adjourned to March 17 for commencement of trial.
