Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC on Friday night, posted 27 deaths in 24 hours making it the highest number of deaths occuring in a single day since the virus since last February.
Of the 27 deaths, Lagos accounted for nine bringing its death toll today 311.,Oyo recorded seven shooting its death toll to 83.while Ondo posted four making its total death toll to stand at 51.
Edo had three deaths taking its total to 139, Kwara posted 2 with a total now 41 . FCT and Kano recorded one death each FCT has a total of 125 deaths while Kano has 77.
Total confirmed covid-19 deaths as if Friday is 1,577.
Infections reportedly fell on Friday from 1,400 on Thursday to 1,114 taking the nation’s total confirmed cases to 128,674 with 102,780 recoveries recorded
A break down of the 1,114 new cases showed Lagos posting 408, FCT 96, Plateau 90, Ondo 66, Kaduna 63, Oyo 56, Borno 46, Imo 42, Edo 41,Ogun 37, Rivers 31, Ekiti 25, Yobe 20.
Others are Kano 18, Akwa Ibom 18, Delta 15, Osun 15, Kwara 11, Bayelsa 6, Nasarawa 6, Zamfara 4, and Bauchi 1.
