A viral video of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and Senator Rochas Okorocha demonstrating the other side of life generated reactions from Nigerians high and low.
To many who were randomly interviewed on the street, Wike and Okorocha’s happy hour was a demonstration of tax payers money spent carelessly on choice drinks instead of using it for empowerment of the poor.
Sunday a rood vendor said” What the video shows is more than two people dancing. Its like something else, maybe people are not seeing what Iam seeing. It is not that they do not have the right to associate and have a great time but this is beyond that. This people are public officials, it shows that they are not well,otherwise they would use the people’s money to help the poor.
” What do they want people to think about this behavior? What impression does Governor Wike want Rivers people to have of him after watching this video? This is not good at all he said.
To Obidike a student, I think this video should be seen by Uzodinma and Akpabio. What the heck do they think they were doing?
” That dance and the glass of drinks displayed only shows that the two men have gone gagas. It is either they are frustrated with life so they chose to wear off their sorrows,or they are habitual drinkers and dancers who see nothing wrong in what they do.
” To crown it all, they even had the audacity to take video shots of their gathering and sent it out to the public. What a clownish display?
” Okorocha’s properties were seized by Uzodinma’s government and so he may not be having it easy so he was perhaps dancing his way out of frustration. As for Wike, his behavior is that of one abandoned or distressed.Who is doing them this biko? he asked.
