Four persons have lost their lives in motor accident on Iwo road in Ibadan.
The Federal Road Safety Corps ( FRSC) on Monday confirmed the incident and said’one other person was injured.
The FRSC Sector Commander in Oyo State, Mrs Uche Chukwurah disclosed that the iaccident occurred when a lorry on speed lost control and rammed into a motorcycle carrying five people.
According to her, the victims were four males and and one female.
The sector commander said the four males died while the only female sustained injury adding that” the driver of the lorry is now at large”
She said the corpses had been deposited at the Adeoyo Hospital morgue while the injured was taken to Fatimoh Hospital,Idito for treatment.
The dead included students of Idito High School which led to riot as students burnt no fewer than 3 vehicles.
Calm is said to have returned to the area after the intervention of the Police.
The Police Public Relations Officer,Olugbenga Fadeyi said personnel from the police command were deployed to restore law and order.
