American Civil Rights activists, lawyers, have reacted to the verdict passed on Chauvin, whose inhumane action led to the death of George Floyd in May,2020.
Civil Rights activists,Al Sharpton who along with other members of the movement and family of Floyd, gathered in Minneapolis to thank God for the victory.which he said was historic.
Floyd’s Familiy lawyer, Ben Crump, urged America” to pause for this historic moment not just for the legacy of George Floyd but for the legacy of The legacy of trying to make America for all Americans so that George Floyd’s victory and America’s quest for equal justice under the law be intertwined .

Former Mineapoliis police officer,Derek Chauvin was on Tuesday found guilty in second and third degree murder and manslaughter.
Floyd died after Chauvin placed his knee on Floyd’s neck inspite of his plea” I can’t breathe”
Now convicted, Chauvin will spend 40 years in prison for second degree murder and 25 years for third degree murder while manslaughter fetches him 10 years in jail.
