
Akwa Ibom flagship,Ibom Air on Monday, July 5,2021, commenced daily flights to Port Harcourt from Lagos and Abuja.
A statement issued by Mr George Uriesi, the Chief Operating Officer of the Airlines in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom capital on Sunday , Port Harcourt has raised the total number of destinations to six in addition to Uyo, Lagos, Abuja., Calabar and Enugu.
Uriesi said the Port Harcourt destination which was part of the company’s expansion programme, aimed to offer its” promise of schedule reliability,on- time departures, and excellent service to a wilder pool of domestic travellers across the country”.
The Airline is being courted by some countries around the West African sub region.
With most states doing very little with monies accruing from the federation account and internally generated revenue, Akwa Ibom government under Udom Emmanuel has truly demonstrated the essence of good governance in view of the numerous job opportunities offered indigenes of the state.
